President Trump’s continues to attack immigrants, refugees, and communities of color by using rhetoric and policies that seek to promote fear, hatred, and division. Standing in his way though are millions of people who are uniting and organizing to defend their families and the U.S. Constitution. We pledge to accompany their fight in federal courts and in the court of public opinion.
This is not the first time immigrants have arrived in the United States and been tasked with defending the country’s constitutional values. And for over 15 years, MALDEF and NDLON have partnered to successfully challenge and defeat unconstitutional efforts that criminalize immigrant workers.
NDLON and MALDEF call upon individuals, lawyers, and artists to pledge resources and support for litigation and organizing that will be required to block the implementation of President Trump’s hate-filled agenda.
